[ Madoka doesn't know why or how - in fact, it's unlikely she even thinks of it as something really weird right now - but she woke up with a huge desire to just help people. Help people, any people, with anything at all. It didn't matter what, as long as she could just try to help someone and be useful through that, just that much would be okay..

And so, no matter where you are around Luceti today, you might spot a young girl running around. If not just because the pink hair is fairly noticable. She looks.. rather tired and exhausted, if you bother to look at her carefully as she rushes by. She is actually sort of tired from running around like this all day, but more than that she's a bit desperate by now to help out anyone at all in any way because of the event's effects.

And so, when said girl spots you, she might suddenly come darting your way. ]

U-um.. I'm sorry!

[ Madoka sounds a little hasty, near out of breath as if she's been running around for a while now. (Spoilers: she has been.) But there's a rather pleading expression on her face. ]

I was just wondering.. Is there anything I could help you out with? Anything at all..?

[ What do, Luceti. ]

Although.. are you really sure you don't need anything? E-even if it's just really small, I don't mind helping out at all!

Hmm... well... you're really serious about this, aren't you? What if it's just something I want to do?

I just.. want to help people out as much as possible, that's all. If I could make someone happy by helping them, that would make me very happy as well! So anything at all is fine!

Okay then... [It's an absurd request on her end, but everyone is acting a bit absurd today and if it works, it gets the girl off her feet and relaxing for a few minutes.

Can I put up your hair? I'd really like to practice hair styling. [Styling cute pink hair. ...No, she's not stuck on this or anything.]

Cut up my hair..?

[ Oh, that's enough to make her look surprised for a moment.. but then she eagerly nods. Because hey, helping out is helping out and it's necessary today. ]

Of course you can! I wonder if it could be something cute..

[Well, luckily for Madoka, Aerith isn't actually planning to cut anything ~~think I phrased that last comment weirdly~~, she just wants to play with pink hair. So Madoka might end up with braided pigtails or other such things.]

I'll try my best to make it cute! Is there anything you'd like to try with it?

[ It's not really like she would have cared either way if part of her hair was cut off (especially not while she's in the overly helpful mode), but she still looks enthusiastic. ]

Not really.. Mama always told me these ribbons look cute on me, but if you think something else might be cute too, please feel free to try it out!

[Aerith's smile changes a little at that.] Your mom's right. And if she said that, it's important to keep the ribbons! But that doesn't mean we can't try something new with them. Let's sit over here. [It's near the fountain, though not close enough that any spray will bother them.]

[ She sits down, still with a little smile on her face. ]

It seems Aerith-san really knows a lot about this sort of thing..

Well, I've gotten in a lot of practice with my hair. I usually wear it like this, but every once in a while I try something new. [She loosens the ribbons gently, letting the hair fall down as it will.]

Maybe you should start some sort of hairdresser's saloon here..

I mean, people here need their hair cut and all too, right?

That's right, they do. I guess I just haven't considered it because I work with the flowers, and I want them to get the best care they can. [She works on straightening the hair a bit, and then separating it into parts.] Is pink hair common where you come from? I never saw it much in Midgar.

Hmm.. [ That actually makes her think for a moment. ] I've seen it on some other people before.. But everyone's hair color is really different, right? My friend from home, Hitomi-chan.. she has green hair, and my other friend Sayaka-chan--

[ She actually pauses at that name all of a sudden, her expression dropping for the slightest moment before she tries to smile again. But it's a bit more hollow. ]

Sayaka-chan has blue hair..

[She hears that pause, starting to lean forward to catch Madoka's face.] I bet those colors must be cute on them, too. But, is everything okay? It sounds like something's wrong.

Ah.. [ She frowns a little, thinking of how to explain it, but.. she can't, right? How do you just tell someone your best friend turned into a monster and was then killed? ]

I just.. miss Sayaka-chan a little, I guess. [ At least that isn't a lie. ]

It's understandable. I miss people back home, too. ...It's good to miss them. It reminds us that they're important.

[She leans to one side, braiding that part thickly.]

That's right.. I'll never forget Sayaka-chan and how we were really good friends. For sure.

[ It.. has more weight for her than just 'until she goes back home' considering even back home Sayaka won't be there anymore. ]

[...She started from present tense and went to past. Aerith thinks that might have been accidental, but certainly not meaningless, and her hands pause in the braiding.]

No matter what's happened, we always have our memories. Keep keeping the good moments close. [It's impulsive, but her hand rises and smooths out the crown of Madoka's hair.]

... Hmm. [ she closes her eyes for a moment. ]

I'll.. definitely never forget all the happy memories and the good moments. I want to keep thinking of them, no matter what.

Mm. [She works in silence for a moment longer, then tugs gently on one side to make sure the ribbon's secure.] There! What do you think?

Ah-- [ Her eyes widen a little in surprise, but then she smiles. ]

I like it a lot..! Thank you for it, Aerith-san, I'm glad I could help you out like this.

You're welcome! I'm happy you like it. [She gets up from her seat, dusting off her dress.] Are you going to help more people, Madoka? Try to have some fun while you're doing it!

[ She stands up as well, turning around so she can face Aerith again and making a quick bow. ]

Yes! I'll do my best to help out much more people today! And I'll have fun too, it's a promise!

[Aerith responds with a bright, quick wave.]

Okay, I'll see you around!

[...Well, even if Madoka runs herself ragged, it seems like she gets her energy back quick enough.]
