[ From the moment the recording starts it's fairly obvious that there's a high degree of awkwardness here - it's easily readable from her expression (even if she's trying to put on a tiny smile as well), if not just from her tone. ]

Um.. I think I have to thank you for making me able to see this place and be here for a while, and.. p-please don't get me wrong, it seems like a really nice place! And these wings are even sort of cute too, so that's not the problem at all. It's just.. you see, if I don't get home in time for dinner I'm sure Mama and Papa will get really worried - especially Mama, if I wouldn't be home she wouldn't be happy at all and would probably throw a big fuss - and..

Sayaka-chan..

[ Her voice trails off as she seems to think of something and her mood dims instantly. The awkwardness that was in her tone earlier disappears and seems to be replaced by something a little more.. sad, perhaps, a softer tone. ]

So.. would it be okay for me to go back home, maybe..? To be honest, I'm not really sure why you picked me of all people to go here in the first place. I think I can't really do anything special like most people here probably can, so it would be okay for me to leave.. right?

[ action ]

[ A bit later one might find a young pink-haired girl sitting near the fountain, still wearing the sundress. She still looks quite lost and unsure and doesn't seem to understand everything just yet, but she seems to be distracting herself from her current situation for now by scribbling little drawings on her journal. Approach her? ]

Don't be silly, Kaname-san, there's nothing you could have done.

[The last thing she wants is for Madoka to blame herself. She gently places a hand on the other girl's head, patting it softly. The strain on her voice alone makes it clear just how much Madoka must have suffered since then.]

And now we're here again, together. You remember what you said that day, don't you...?

[She grows silent for a moment at that, relieved that Madoka remembers. No matter what happened after that day, she still remembers. Then she must have meant it, right? It wasn't just empty words or false problems.]

Thank you, Kaname-san. [and for once she really means it.] I'm grateful for that.

[She smiles back at her, though her smile seems brighter than usual. But she can't help but playfully add...]

So did you ever decide on a wish after all? [because if she didn't, it's cake time!!]

[spoilers she doesn't know that part.]

[She looks a bit cross at Madoka for a moment, as if holding it against her... before just stifling a slight laugh.] I was just joking. There's no need to force yourself so much.

I told you before, didn't I? It's important that you find a wish that you know you won't regret. [she pauses, before taking the other girl's hand and holding it up before clasping her other around it.] I'm sure you'll find something to wish for when the time is right.

But that doesn't really seem to matter much here, does it?

No, I'm fairly certain he isn't. Akemi-san or Sakura-san would have mentioned him. [oh wait that also means...] They're both here too, if you haven't seen either. You've met Sakura-san, haven't you?

[friends...] I'd like that. I've heard that this place can get rather rough at times, but for the most part it's peaceful. We'll just have to do our best to adapt and get used to how things are around here.

[she tilts her head to the side, joining in the laughter.] Don't worry, I'm sure one day you'll surpass me.

I hope she hasn't caused you any trouble... [even though she's sure she has...]

That's right, we'll be fine. I'll make sure of that. [you can just be mean to them okay! well no you can't but whatever.] It's my duty to look after my cute kohai, after all.

That might be true, but I'm sure you'll get there. [after all, you have the most potential out of all of us mO_Om]

She's a more selfless person than she appears to be at first, but... that isn't necessarily a positive thing. [though she nods.] But if she helped you, that's good.

Of course, I'll make sure to ask you for anything I might need. [she smiles again at that, though her tone makes it clear she's just kidding. probably.]

You're too kind, Kaname-san. It's your strength, but it's also very dangerous. [Yeah, she's not buying it.]

But I understand. As long as they do not do anything out of line, there should be no need for conflict. But you've come to understand it now too, haven't you? Why we usually operate alone.

[please...]

Optimistic as always. I wouldn't mind if things could work out that way, but certain people simply can't get along. I'll try to honor your sentiment as much as I can, but I doubt the others have any intention of playing nice either.

You have a point. Sakura-san and I have remained out of each other's territories for quite some time now to avoid conflict, but that isn't quite possible here. As for Akemi-san... [she pauses, frowning slightly.]

I still don't understand what that girl is up to, but she's an enemy.

You're too trusting, Kaname-san.

Though it's true that many things must have happened, what that girls real motives and desires are... do you know those things? She may help you when it suits her interests, but that's all. [Mami would know since she's the same ._.] But I'll take your word for it that she has helped you... that deserves some thanks, at least.

Trusting someone blindly is foolish. [her tone is harsh as she says it, though it shifts back to her normal demeanor rather quickly.]

Mm? No, you haven't made things hard on me at all. If anything, your presence is comforting. It makes things easier.
