[ From the moment the recording starts it's fairly obvious that there's a high degree of awkwardness here - it's easily readable from her expression (even if she's trying to put on a tiny smile as well), if not just from her tone. ]

Um.. I think I have to thank you for making me able to see this place and be here for a while, and.. p-please don't get me wrong, it seems like a really nice place! And these wings are even sort of cute too, so that's not the problem at all. It's just.. you see, if I don't get home in time for dinner I'm sure Mama and Papa will get really worried - especially Mama, if I wouldn't be home she wouldn't be happy at all and would probably throw a big fuss - and..

Sayaka-chan..

[ Her voice trails off as she seems to think of something and her mood dims instantly. The awkwardness that was in her tone earlier disappears and seems to be replaced by something a little more.. sad, perhaps, a softer tone. ]

So.. would it be okay for me to go back home, maybe..? To be honest, I'm not really sure why you picked me of all people to go here in the first place. I think I can't really do anything special like most people here probably can, so it would be okay for me to leave.. right?

[ A bit later one might find a young pink-haired girl sitting near the fountain, still wearing the sundress. She still looks quite lost and unsure and doesn't seem to understand everything just yet, but she seems to be distracting herself from her current situation for now by scribbling little drawings on her journal. Approach her? ]

[Oh, someone's surprised to see you. She's happy, but... it's a strange feeling.]

Kaname-san...?

Sorry... but we can't go home. But no need to worry, I'm sure you'll be fine... hopefully!

[At first Homura doesn't believe it. That she probably misheard the audio and hallucinated the voice of her best friend. Her only friend. So she ignored it and went on.

...Except it kept nagging her and she checked back again. That's when she realized that it wasn't her imagination. Madoka Kaname was in Luceti. And she was pleading for a way home. What was Homura supposed to say to that? She said it to some other people that were new like her, but to say it to Madoka of all people...it's too much.]

[...But she can't just leave Madoka alone. Not like this. So, after going through the motions in private, she'll respond as coldly as always. She can't let her guard down right now. Not until things are resolved.]

Kaname Madoka.

[ Oh, Madoka is surprised too.. except that surprised is a definite understatement in this case. Because the last time she saw Mami.. well, we all know what happened last time she saw Mami. ]

M-Mami-san..?!

[ Okay, it's.. probably not the way she should greet someone, but.. she can't help it. Madoka tries to calm her expression a little bit more, but it's fairly useless - she still can't help but let the shock show up on her face. ]

That's.. you, right? Really..?

[ There was a spark in Kyouko's heart at the beginning of the message. To hear Madoka meant there was someone here who she got along with, well, someone who accepted her as a friend. So she's almost ready to interrupt her message with her own, to say sup, to let her know she's not alone here--

--but then she has to say her name. It's too fresh in Kyouko's mind to ignore it. ]

She's not here. [ Only to be followed up by lots of biting and chewing noises. ]

Is that so.. [ She pauses for a slight moment, back to her more unsure tone. ]

So they won't let us go home no matter what? That's cruel..

[Ah... in her surprise, she almost forgot... the circumstances before her arrival here. In truth, she's been pushing thoughts like that as far from her mind as she could, but now...]

That's right, the one and only. Where are you right now, Kaname-san? I'm afraid I won't be able to take you back home, but I can at least help you out a little.

I heard that sometimes people get to go home, but not of their free will. But it isn't too horrible here, I promise.

Homura-chan..?

[ At least that's a voice she doesn't have to freak out over actually being alive as much.. In fact, she almost feels a little happy and grateful to have someone she knows here. Besides, Homura had helped her out before, right? ]

... You're here too? [ Still a little too unsure to say anything elaborate right now, though. ]

For a little over a week now. [She already saw Mami on the feed, so while she wants to a face-to-face meeting she's positive that the blonde is going to make a big deal out of it.] Have you arrived here safely? You aren't injured, correct?

[ It's.. very strange to hear her voice again all of a sudden. Sure, it hadn't been too long since she heard it back home, but still.. it had been a definite farewell, right? Because they couldn't save Sayaka, not even when they tried so hard together, and then--

She tries not to think of it, but it's already slipping into her mind and brings her tone down again. ]

... I'm sorry.. I was just thinking about--

[ Her voice trails off again, because she can't just talk about everything that happened with Kyouko, right? Especially not if she's suddenly alive again. ... Yup, awkward. ]

[ It's strange, very strange and even somewhat awkward, the thought of Mami being alive again now all of a sudden.. but of course it would be nice to be able to talk to her again, if not just to say what happened was her fault and that she's sorry, even if just sorry wouldn't be enough.

So she answers, perhaps a little bit too eagerly. ]

U-um, thank you, Mami-san..! I'm not sure where I am exactly, but.. there's a fountain near here, if that helps anything.

H-hmm. That's right, this place doesn't seem really scary or bad so far, so I'm grateful for that. I'm just a little worried about everything back home, I guess..

[she pauses to think for a moment; she walked through most of the village the day before, so she recognizes most of the locations for now.]

Mmm, can you wait right there for a bit? I think I know where you are.

Someone told me time works differently here. So, you may not miss dinner at all when you finally go home!

Don't worry too much about it; I heard that when people go home and come back, it's like no time passed back at home.

[And as promised, she's there rather quickly; though she does her best not to show it, it's clear she was in quite the hurry.]

Ah, good, I was right. This is the fountain you meant.

Y-yes, I'm fine..! Don't worry about me, Homura-chan. [ See, she even tries a little smile now. Even if she's still unsure and worried. ]

Are you okay too? If you've been here for a week already..

Eh? Really?

[ Her expression turns quite relieved - if not still a little surprised - at that. ]

So even if someone would stay here for a long time, they would still be home in time for dinner..?

[ Madoka only gives a tiny nod in response to Mami's question before sitting there a few moments, feeling.. somewhat anxious? Relieved? Even Madoka isn't really sure either. ]

Mami-san..! You're really here!

[ And then there's a moment where her happiness wins it from all the unsure and worry and fear and she smiles the moment she spots the other girl. Even if it's definitely weird and strange.. It's almost like a second chance, right? ]

You're okay, right? [ Just to.. make sure.. ]

Yes, I'm fine. [Too nice. Thinking about someone else like that when she's the one in trouble.] ...It may be strange and difficult to recall, but can you tell me the last thing you remember before arriving here today?

Really? That would be nice.. I'd like it if Mama and Papa wouldn't have to worry about me, at the very least. If I really have to, I think I'm okay with staying here for a little while though..

I think so. She told me time doesn't move at all back home while you're here. I was a little surprised too when I learned about that.

[Almost a little too hard to believe really, but if everyone says it's true...]
