[ The message left on the journals is a short one. After all, the message she's bringing is so upsetting to her that she can't really talk much about it. Heck, she can hardly speak up without her voice shaking, and she shouldn't show everyone how upset she is-- after all, it's better for people to not be stuck here, right? No matter how upsetting it might be, and no matter that a lot of people she knows have left already - leaving her all alone in her apartment in the end, even though she's lived with so many people over time. ]

... Um.. F-.. for those of you who knew Yui-chan-- .. Yui Konagi.. she went back home.

[ ... ]

There are some things l-left behind for people too, so.. hmm.

[ She can't even say this properly, can she? Instead she just closes the journal for a bit. ]

... I'm really sorry, Madoka.

[First Homura, now Yui? This has to be really hard on her.]

Do you want someone to come over for a little while? Just so you don't have to be all by yourself.

T-thank you.. [ It's unclear whether she's thanking him for the offer or that he's sorry - probably both. ]

I wouldn't mind you coming over, but.. um.. only if it isn't a bother. If you're busy, I don't want to take up your time..

It's okay, I don't mind at all. I couldn't just leave one of my friends alone when they were feeling sad.

You're so kind, Emil-kun.. I-in that case it's fine for you to come over, okay..? Do you know where I'm staying?

Now that you mention it, I don't think I ever asked you where you live. It's in one of the apartment buildings, right?

Yes.. It's in building 7. In room 8, that one's on the second floor.. it shouldn't be too difficult to find then, right?

Right. Do you want me to come over right now? I can be there in a few minutes.

Right now is fine as long as it isn't a problem for you. I'll be here waiting, so..

So I'll be right there. I won't keep you waiting long.

Hmm..! See you here, Emil-kun.

[ and with that she closes the journal and waits. ]

[And sure enough, about fifteen minutes later, there will be a knock on Madoka's door.]

[ She quickly patters over to the door to open. Honestly, she doesn't look at her best - she looks.. a little tired, and aside from that her eyes are a little red as if she's been crying earlier. But even so, she shakily tries to smile as she spots Emil. ]

E-.. Emil-kun.. Good day.

[Emil won't even say anything before he just pulls her into a hug, because he gets the feeling she really needs that right about now. It's what he himself would want, at least, so he's hoping it's the same with her.]

[ She doesn't resist, she just lets herself be dragged into the hug. And then there's a few moments of her doing nothing - not even moving away, not saying anything.. But then slowly the things she has been holding back come out again, and as she clings against him she slowly starts crying again. At first shaking silently, but then the sounds become audible, even if they're a little soft. All the painful feelings and memories of people leaving over time, ending with Yui now - they're all coming back, making tears spill out. ]

Madoka...

[Right now, Emil wishes there were something, anything he could do to make her feel better beyond just hugging her like this, but what can he say? There isn't really anything that can be said in this situation that will help, so he just settles for rubbing her back gently. She can cry all she wants; he isn't going to move until she wants to.]

[ It takes her a little while to stop crying. Eventually it does stop though, and she lets go of him just a little - enough to rub her eyes. ]

S-.. sorry, Emil-kun.. I shouldn't cry, since.. Yui-chan's probably happy back home..

[Emil won't let go unless she pulls away completely, no worries there.]

It's okay. I don't think she'd mind if you were sad for a little while.

Y-.. [ she sniffs. ] .. you're sure? It wouldn't be too selfish..?

It's only natural to miss someone who's gone. In fact, I think she'd be happy to know that she was important enough to you for you to feel sad when she went home.

.. Y-.. yes, that's true, but.. Yui-chan would want me to be happy too, right? That's what friends do, they want their friends to be happy..

Yeah, but I'm sure she'd understand if you were sad for a little while first.

I-.. if you say so, Emil-kun.. [ she rubs her eyes a little more, but she's nodding a little. ]

I'll try to be back to normal soon though. For Yui-chan's sake too..

[He just hugs her tight again.]

That's the best way to remember her.

[ For a few moments she just more or less leans against him when she's hugged, but then she does speak up again. ]

.. Thank you, Emil-kun.. y-you're so kind, a real friend..

I am? I mean, I'm just doing what I would want someone to do for me...
