[The morning after the experiment is... Different. It was an interesting experience, having a completely different life and family. Sure, his first experiment also dealt with changing his memories but from his perspective it wasn't a big change. This time, though... Being an older brother, having had his parents vanish from the surface of the world when they were a bit younger... He still was a shaman but that felt different as well. It was curious how he even was family to people he had never seen before, at least Madoka was someone he already knew. And in perspective the change seemed to be for the better for her, she didn't seem to have as many self-esteem issues as she does normally. Pity she couldn't remain that way, but it would be wrong for her to keep thinking they are family anyway, she has her own family.

Yoh muses all those things calmly and with a smile, doing the morning routine before going down to the kitchen to start to prepare breakfast for two for the last time. Without knowing what's on his head it would seem as if he's still affected by the experiment.]

[ She stands right outside the kitchen, out of sight, for quite some time. Because she can't decide, can't make up her mind about whether she should just keep standing there or walk in. Either option seems awkward after what happened. It's much like the aftermath of what happened around Valentine's Day - feelings that weren't there all along.. what is she supposed to say to him now? How is she supposed to face him now? Sure, he had been her friend, but not her family, and now.. could things still even be the same?

But she can't let herself be weak. So even though it's hesitantly, Madoka peeks her head into the kitchen and then soon the rest of her follows as she nods and bows a little at him. She's still avoiding his gaze though. ]

.. Good morning.. Yoh.. -san.

[He knows she's there even if she doesn't enter, because Amidamaru sees her and can tell Yoh so, in their awkward and difficult communication link. It's still food for thought and it's still a bit annoying to him, but he is getting better at this, or at least he's getting more used to it. Maybe in a way this is positive after all, since it's as if Amidamaru projects his feelings and thoughts to Yoh and Yoh feels them himself. Sometimes he still misunderstands or isn't sure what the samurai is trying to get across but things are working out, slowly.

As Madoka enters, Yoh welcomes her with a smile just as always.]

Good morning, Madoka. Good to see you up already, are you hungry? I'm preparing some breakfast.

[He smiles, friendly and calmly, as if nothing ever happened or as if everything is still going on. It's probably hard to tell.]

[ .. He seems so normal. Normal as it usually is, as it was the previous days, but in general too.. and compared to him smiling there she's just standing here, unsure about everything, unsure about what exactly she can even say in this situation. Unsure about how she's supposed to act, is he trying to act like nothing happened..? ]

A little, but--.. .. but.. Yoh-san, about what happened.. [ she doesn't even know what to say, how to put it into words. ]

[Yoh just pauses for a second before he smiles calmly at her, reaching out with a hand to pet her hair a bit like he had been doing those past days when they were siblings.]

I'm glad that if this had to happen I got you as my closest family. Thank you for being such a good little sister and putting up with me those days. I liked having you around and it was fun.

[The awkwardness of reality, the disappointment with the experiment... None of that really matters. He's mostly worried about how during the experiment she knew about his powers, he wants to think that she's not someone who would look down on him for them or insult him or whatever... But she's human and he doesn't really know that much of her, for now he won't bring it up directly, waiting to see if she will say something first. Still smiling, he goes back to prepare breakfast.]

I'll help you with your things to get them back to your place if you want, but first we should eat something. You can't do any work with an empty stomach.
