[ Madoka sounds a little bit unsure when the message starts - perhaps even more unsure than unusual. There's even a slight silence at first, as if she isn't sure how to start about this. But then after those few moments she does speak up, although a bit slowly and hesitantly. ]

... Um.. Sorry to ask this, but I was wondering if anyone has seen Homura-chan around. A-ah, that would be Homura Akemi. For those of you who don't know her, she's about my age, and she has really long black hair and dark purple-like eyes.

[ She takes a deep breath. ]

Y.. you see, I wasn't able to find her anywhere this morning, so I thought she might have gone out on her own.. But since she didn't tell me anything, I looked across the village to make sure, but.. [ her tone drops a little. ] I couldn't find her anywhere by myself..

So I'm sorry to bother all of you with this, but if you've seen her around, then.. please tell me. I would be really grateful, so.. hmm, thank you.

Well... I guess she's friendly towards people in her own way, but there's still always that feeling of distance, you know? It's impossible for someone to keep people at arm's length forever.

That's right. [ although Madoka isn't sure on 'safer'.. ] The experiments here usually aren't that bad, but.. I'm sure Homura-chan might have found them a little embarassing, so it's really better for her to not be here.

That's right..! It's all about keeping an eye on the surroundings, right? I wouldn't want to be rude by bumping into anyone, even if it's just accidentally..

... I guess so. Maybe she'll learn how to open up to other people, eventually. Whenever I talked with her last time, it seemed that she was heading in that direction.

If that could happen, I would be really glad.. After all, she deserves to have friends as well. Maybe you could become good friends with her too, ehehe.

For now, maybe it's better to just keep the book with you but not read it while you walk, maybe.

But what if someone wants to contact me while I'm out? Maybe even about something important like having found Homura-chan..
